Emily Ergang Pappas is Group Head of Legal at Alter Domus.
In May 2025, Emily Ergang Pappas was appointed Group Head of Legal for Alter Domus. She joined in August 2012 as Associate Counsel and in March 2020 was named Head of Legal, North America.
Based in Chicago, Emily leads our internal legal function, driving growth through effective legal work, advising on strategic engagements and M&A projects, and managing legal issues that may arise. She guides global collaboration throughout the company ensuring the business operates within an effective and efficient legal framework. Emily and her teams work with senior leadership to harmonize and align on global policies and procedures related to the legal and contracting process.
Emily began her career practicing law at a small firm handling real estate and foreclosure matters for small financial institutions.
Emily graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science and graduated from DePaul University with a Juris Doctor.
