An avid traveler and outdoorsman, Curtis spends his free time skiing and snowboarding in the Wasatch Mountains and abroad, tackling building and renovation projects, and following European football.

One of the fundamental truths about growing a private equity or venture capital firm is that focusing on raising capital is not the be all and end all. What’s equally as important is structuring funds the right way, staying flexible, and keeping up with investor and regulatory expectations. As firms scale, they face a wealth of new challenges: How do you design fund structures that can evolve? How do you manage liquidity without overcomplicating things? And how do you expand globally while staying tax-efficient and compliant?

This session brings together experts from Alter Domus (operations & technology), Deloitte (tax strategy), and DLA Piper (regulatory compliance) to help PE and VC managers build fund structures that support long-term success—without creating unnecessary and unwanted pain points.
