René Beltjens is Chairman of the Supervisory Board.


René joined the executive management team of Alter Domus in 2008 bringing comprehensive experience in both cross-border business and clients, in an environment that is becoming increasingly more complex.

Before joining Alter Domus, René was Head of Tax and a member of the Executive Committee at PwC in Luxembourg. He was responsible for the tax advisory, tax compliance, and accounting departments of the Luxembourg firm with approximately 400 employees. René was the PwC US outbound investment leader in Europe, aligning and coordinating PwC’s resources to better serve the firm’s US-based clients. René advised private equity firms and multinational corporations on the tax impact of their reorganizations, including the use of Luxembourg as an intermediate holding and financing location. He developed tax planning ideas, and mitigation strategies and provided assistance with respect to negotiations with the Luxembourg tax authorities.

René’s academic credentials include a Degree in Law from the University of Louvain-La-Neuve, an MBA from the University of Leuven, and also a Tax Post Graduate degree from ICHEC, Brussels Management School.
