Boris Lipiainen is Chief Product Officer.
Boris Lipiainen joined Alter Domus as Chief Product Officer in 2025, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and experience across financial technology and services, and a strong track record in innovation, digital transformation, and business growth.
Before joining Alter Domus, Boris served as Chief Product and Technology Officer at Kyriba, where he was a member of the executive committee. During his tenure, he led the company’s global product and technology strategy, expanded its platform capabilities across treasury management, risk, and working capital finance, and strengthened its culture of innovation and engineering excellence.
Prior to Kyriba, Boris held senior leadership roles at Finastra, including General Manager for Treasury, Capital Markets, and Risk, where he oversaw a global software business serving financial institutions worldwide. He also led major product and technology functions at Misys and Thomson Reuters, driving successful integrations, product transformations, and organizational growth.
Earlier in his career, Boris was an Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company in London, advising leading financial institutions and software companies on technology strategy and operations. He began his executive career as COO and CIO at DialogBank in Moscow, where he built and scaled the bank’s technology and back-office operations. Boris holds a Master of Science in Management, Corporate Strategy & Finance from the MIT Sloan School of Management, and a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics.
